An Aztec mummy, an interesting ghost, an insane sailor, a voodoo idol, an elixir of life…
There are a lot of collections of stories, but none of them is like this one.
…
Charles Barney Cory was born on January 31, 1857, in Boston. He was a son of a very rich businessman and he never needed to work. As a teenager, he developed an interest in ornithology and started a skin collection. He became an ornithologist, but he was also a well-known golfer, who took part in the Summer Olympic Games in 1904.
He wrote many books in the past, some of which were about birds, but some were merely fantasy stories. One of those stories is this book.
It is a collection of weird stories, which, actually, were inspired from the natural history expeditions of the author, containing supernatural elements. On the pages of this book you will find many different characters and objects, things that you haven’t read about before.
